NJN Calls on Prime Minister Netanyahu to Honor Ceasefire Agreement, Resume Deliveries of Aid to Gaza and Bring the Hostages Home

March 3, 2025 – New Jewish Narrative protests the decision by the Netanyahu government to break the ceasefire deal and cut off aid to Gaza this weekend. This decision abandons the hostages who are still trapped in Gaza and risks undermining Israeli security by bringing about a return to war.

“Netanyahu may say that he wants to bring the Israeli hostages home, but his actions show otherwise,” said Hadar Susskind, President and CEO of NJN. “He signed an agreement, he should honor it. It requires aid to be delivered. He should deliver the aid.”

The decision to stop allowing trucks ferrying humanitarian aid into Gaza not only violates the terms of the ceasefire, it also amounts to a war crime. Former Israeli Supreme Court Chief Justice Aharon Barak – after being appointed to serve as a judge at the Hague by the current Israeli government – voted in favor of measures requiring Israel to provide humanitarian aid.

More than two million people live in Gaza and depend on this aid. They cannot be treated as pawns in a political game. Nobody should be subject to collective punishment.
